Before you can help your neighbors, be sure you and your family are prepared and safe in a disaster. Develop a Family Disaster Plan, which should include;
Escape and Meet-up Locations
Out-of-state "Check-in" Contact
One or more Disaster Supply Kits
Mitigation of hazards around your home
Knowing how to shut-off your utilities
Read the Prepare with CERT document and print out (and keep in an easy to reach place) the Help or OK sign
